Profhilo® is a skin remodelling treatment designed for individuals with ageing skin lacking volume and elasticity. It stimulates the production of collagen and elastin through the slow release of Hyaluronic Acid (HA) and significantly improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles helping to increase hydration and firmness across the face.
Profhilo® has been formulated to contain a high level of Hyaluronic Acid; a naturally occurring substance found in our bodies that is responsible for maintaining moisture within our skin). Hyaluronic Acid encourages the production of collagen and elastin across the skin.
Is Profhilo® a filler?
Due to the way Profhilo® has been made, it acts as a hydrator rather than a filler. This treatment is fantastic for those with tired, dull and ageing skin as it provides overall more plump and luminous skin.
The substance is injected just below the skin’s surface in just 2 sessions over a period of 4 weeks, and disperses quickly across the skin to instantly boost hydration, consequently smoothing fine lines and wrinkles and resulting in improved skin texture.
Who is it for?
We always recommend this treatment to people who suffer from dry skin, with visible loss of firmness and elasticity which tend to start in mid 30s.
How often do I need to have it?
The first two treatments have to be 4 weeks apart and then every 6 months.
Is Profhilo better than Botox?
Since Profhilo® is not a filler, it gives you a more natural, all rounded look and doesn’t change the motion in your face. It’s also a completely different treatment to Botox and designed to provide hydration of the skin and bio-remodelling.
Profhilo works on the entire face rather than focusing on one area and it is therefore the treatment of choice for those looking for a younger looking skin.
Whilst Profhilo® helps to plump the skin and restore volume loss, Botox® works by temporarily blocking the signals between the muscles and the neurotransmitters that send signals to our brain in order to prevent the formation of lines and wrinkles.
So, if you are looking for a more natural, holistic result that can be seen across your entire face, Profhilo® is the best treatment for you.
Is there any downtime?
With any injection there is always a risk that you may bruise just from the needle. Some people may also feel little bumps on their skin but they usually go away very quickly (within couple of hours).
How much does the treatment cost?
Two injections are recommended.
£300 per injection.
